The siderographers, first organized in 1899, are printing plate engravers employed primarily in the printing of paper money, securities, bonds, and other similar documents. The union's archives consist of membership records; correspondence; minutes; constitutions; bylaws; programs; financial records; certificates; and newspaper clippings. The collection also includes audio tapes, photographs, and memorabilia.
The Keystone Viewing Company, located in Pennsylvania, was formed in 1892. The Keystone Viewing Company is best remembered today as a manufacturer of stereoscopes, but lantern slides were an important secondary item. This collection of glass lantern slides depicts international labor activity. The best documented industries are agriculture, forestry, maritime, and textiles.
Founded by Joe Glazer, Joe Uehlein, and Saul Schniderman in 1979, the Labor Heritage Foundation promotes the use and value of music and arts in labor activism. Saul Schniderman also created the Inventory of American Labor Landmarks, which documents historical markers and monuments of labor history in the United States. Notable people represented in this collection include Pete Seeger, Archie Green, and Si Kahn.
